Hi folks. I just came down with a bad throat infection, and had someone contact me. I don't want to let people down, so how do I temporarily turn off my ability to receive people?

Hi Rich,

This is simple to do. You want to edit your account so that you are currently "unavailable". When your account has this status you will not appear on the warmshowers map or similar listing.

Here are some instructions on how to accomplish this quickly:

Login to the website.
On the page which appears, you will find a highlighted link labeled Update Your Profile on the left side of the page near the top (under the title "Login Status"). Click on this link.
You will be transferred to your account page and be in the "Edit" mode. Scroll down the page and look for the check-box labeled Not Currently Available. Click in this box to select it.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. That's all there is to it.

You will also find these instructions in the FAQ (Category "Changing Your Account" and Question "What if I can't host cyclists right now?")
