Looking for Host in Lake Placid Area (18th,19th June)

I'm a new member. I'm not sure whether this is the right place to solicit hosts so apologies if its not.
A buddy and me (both males, single) are scheduled to tour the Lake Placid area at the minimum for one day and also challenge ourselves in the Whiteface Mountain Uphill Race. The dates are 18th and 19th of June. I'm looking for a friendly host in that area who would okay with kindly sharing their residence with us so we can crash for the night of the 18th. We're non-smokers, and fit athletes who ride long distance. We love conversations and would be interested in meeting someone who would also act as a resource to us in the Lake Placid area. We're both from Rochester NY.

How to use wsl
I think there may be some hints on how to use the warm showers list somewhere on this site. However, writing a message here is not a useful way to find hosts -- most hosts don't get these messages forwarded to their email and they don't look at the site to find postings. You need to search for the locations and/or look at the map to find possible hosts. Having just done that in a cursory way, it looks like there aren't very many hosts in the Adirondacks. Still, you should definitely contact the few who are there.
My recommendation is to supplement the WSL with a membership in couchsurfing.org -- there are quite a lot of participantsin the Lake Placid area.
