Some versions of the WS app have issues on some versions of Android and/or some smartphones.
Would it be possible to make available to download previous versions of the WS app, so anyone can find the matching WS app version to their phone?

WS app 2.0.3 and 1.5.1 and 1.5.0 available there:

There is no "matching app version per phone", the current app version should work on all supported android versions. Right now, the development of the Android app is pretty active, but only known problems can be fixed. Can you please tell more infos about the issues you have and on what kind of phone/Android version?
On the other hand, older app versions won't work anymore as warmshowers.org changed.
Android 4.4.2. Huawei Y360
Cannot log in with WS app 2.0.3 and 1.5.1 july 17 2018. Error message: "Failed communicating with server, please verify internet connection"
WS app 1.5.1 june 21 2018 works great (map, host details, messaging to hosts)
Thank you for your answer. I hope I identified the problem and know how to fix it. I'll come back you.

All, as you may have read in our last newsletter or in our social media posts - we have a new task force established to evaluate the current apps being used and how to proceed. Warmshowers does NOT currently support the apps so we are not able to provide any technical support. Please stay turned for the committees evaluation and steps forward.
Thanks!
Hey Tahverlee,
Can you tell me something more about that task force or point me to some source? I can't find the email and nothing came up on a forum search.
Thanks!
Was that the last thing we heard of Tahverlee?
The social media posts have gone silent.
The group on https://www.facebook.com/groups/Warmshowers.org/ has gone in hidding.
Hello, thanks for checking. We are actively determining a path forward with the apps, the board of directors will have an update soon and I will be sharing in our newsletter and on our social media. Appreciate you taking the time to enquire on the status.
Well, I'm one of the people who are developing the Android app in their freetime and I'm really interested in what you call "a path forward". Especially because for me, that path fells highly disrepectful against all the people who put a lot of their free time into it.
